Clearwave Corporation Installs Real-Time Patient Registration and Eligibility Authentication Solution in Atlanta Women’s Health Group’s 26 Locations
August 25, 2009
Clearwave Corporation announces that Atlanta Women’s Health Group, AWHG, one of the largest full-service obstetrics and gynecology practices in the Southeast, is installing Clearwave’s real-time insurance eligibility authentication solution in all 26 of its locations.
Clearwave enables medical facilities to securely authenticate a patient’s insurance eligibility with the industry’s largest network of insurance carriers. With access to eligibility information at the time of service, providers can validate a patient’s eligibility information quickly from either the Clearwave kiosk or Clearwave portal.
“The speed in which we receive a patient’s eligibility information and the ease of use for our staff are among the compelling reasons we decided to install Clearwave’s solution throughout our practice’s locations,” said Richard C. Zane, MD FACOG, CEO of AWHG. “Other deciding factors include Clearwave’s ability to integrate with our existing practice management system and most importantly, we are now able to provide a more sophisticated and streamlined check-in process for our patients.”
Through the use of Clearwave’s kiosk, patients check-in and simultaneously verify their insurance before they sit down in the waiting room. Once the patient has checked in, their benefit details are displayed for the office staff through the Clearwave portal in an easy-to-read and standardized format.
“Clearwave allows Atlanta Women’s Health Group to increase cash flow, reduce collection costs and control bad debt.” said Gerard White, CEO of Clearwave Corporation. “By automating insurance validation and the collection of co-payments and remaining deductibles, Clearwave enables Atlanta Women’s Health Group to expedite the check-in process, which ultimately improves the quality of their patient’s experience.”
