The UAB Department of Surgery’s Division of Orthopaedic Surgery implemented the use of registration kiosks in April, achieving its goals of speeding up the checkin process, improving patient satisfaction, and increasing payments made at the time of service.
Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center decided to implement Clearwave’s self-service kiosks. By implementing the kiosks, patients could quickly check-in, pay co-pays and/or outstanding balances at the kiosk and then be seated until it was time to be seen by the physician.
